A wave of false rumours swept across social media, claiming that Nigerian content creator Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, had been arrested for drug trafficking. The skit maker has now broken his silence and firmly denied the allegations through his legal representatives.
The rumours claimed that the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) arrested Officer Woos in 2025 for importing a large quantity of bread and brownies allegedly laced with cocaine from Mexico.
However, in a statement released on Instagram on Friday by Versed Attorneys, Gbadamosi dismissed the claims and described them as “entirely false, fabricated, and without any basis whatsoever.”
His legal team stated that he has never faced arrest, investigation, or charges related to any drug offence. The lawyers also said that he has never posted about the death of any associate on his social media platforms, contrary to claims circulating online.
The statement described the publications as a deliberate and malicious attempt to mislead the public and damage the entertainer’s reputation.

Citing Nigerian defamation laws, the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, and the Criminal Code, the law firm demanded an immediate and unconditional retraction and public apology from all individuals and platforms responsible for spreading the allegations. The lawyers gave the parties 48 hours to comply.
Gbadamosi also authorised his legal team to begin civil proceedings for damages and submit formal petitions to law enforcement and regulatory agencies against anyone who continues to publish or amplify the false claims.
He called on the public to rely only on information from his verified channels and official legal representatives.

With the rumours still making rounds online, Officer Woos has firmly denied the allegations and vowed to take legal action against individuals or platforms that continue to spread the false claims.
