Henry Okoye, the eldest brother of the defunct music duo P-Square, has expressed doubts about the possibility of his younger brothers, Peter also known as Mr P, and Paul Okoye fondly called Rudeboy, ending their disputes because of the ongoing issues between the twins and Jude, their elder brother and former manager.

Social commentator Jos Connection, interviewed Henry at their father’s residence in Plateau State on Friday, August 7, about the crisis involving the Okoye brothers. Henry said he was not sure if Paul and Peter would have the same bond they once shared, even though Peter had made efforts to resolve the disagreement multiple times.

Henry laid emphasis on how Paul was the kindest person in their family. He said he did not know what had come over him because he had changed so much. He noted that he did not believe Rudeboy could change this much towards his twin brother, Peter, and said Jude was the cause of the rift between twins.

Henry Reveals How He Supported P-Square at the Start of Their Career

During the interview, Henry gave an insight into what was going on in the Okoye dispute. He said maybe Jude had used juju on Paul because Rudeboy was not like this before, as they all grew up together.

“Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising. What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired.”

Speaking about the journey of P-Square, Henry mentioned that he used to sponsor P-Square when they started their career. He also said he used to serve as their bodyguard when they went for shows to perform.

He stated that the twins promised him 20 per cent of the money from any show they performed at, which they all agreed on.

Henry claimed that Jude was never in the picture when P-Square started, but later said Jude wanted to become the manager of the singing duo. According to Henry, their mother initially refused because she knew the kind of person Jude is.

Their mother did not support the idea until Tony Okoye, the twins immediate elder brother, pleaded with her. She later consented to Jude Okoye becoming P-Square’s manager.

Henry said that whenever he called Paul and Peter to remind them about the 20 per cent they had promised him, Jude refused and gave him excuses. He said the twins could not do anything about it because Jude was their manager and controlled how everything was done.

He also noted that Paul and Peter became distant from him, adding that Jude was the reason for the distance.

“They promised me 20 per cent when they started making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that. I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything, but now he is chasing everybody away from them,” Henry said.

He said he would be happy if the brothers reunite but expressed doubts that such a reconciliation would happen.

“I will be happy for them to come back together, but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person,” he added.

This came after a long-running feud between Peter, Paul and their elder brother Jude, who previously managed P-Square.

Paul and Peter Take Different Positions in Jude Okoye’s Legal Battle

The feud between Peter and Paul goes back years and contributed to their split in 2017.

The twins reunited in 2021, raising hopes among fans that they had resolved the troubles that had separated them. However, the reconciliation was brief, and the brothers split up again in 2024.

In February 2025, Paul stated that he supported Jude because he believed Jude knew the truth and that Peter was to blame for Jude’s legal ordeal.

Jude was subsequently arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations involving N1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Peter later testified against Jude in the law court, stating that the former P-Square manager covertly formed Northside Music Limited to collect the group’s earnings.

The financial dispute is still being resolved in court. During cross-examination in February 2026, Peter revealed that he was a co-signatory to the Northside Entertainment Limited account, contrary to Jude’s prior claim that he was the sole signatory.

The conflict has also played out publicly, with Peter and Paul making opposing claims about their relationship and Jude’s role in P-Square’s demise.
