The 45-year-old American musician Ray J known for his sex tape with Kim Kardashian claims he has had romantic relationships with 12,500 women.

During a recent interview with former NFL quarterback Cam Newton, Ray J addressed his earlier statement about the number of women he has been intimate with and said the figure has now increased to 12,500.

“No, it isn’t about how many times I’ve had sex. I’m talking about 10,000 different people. It’s at 12,500 now,” he said.

The musician revealed that hundreds of women he dated in the past attended a celebration when he reached 10,000 partners.

“I had a party when I reached 10,000. We had a celebration to mark my 10,000th. About 500 women who had been with me came through and supported me. It was a massive parade. It’s a little bit more now,” he said.

Born William Ray Norwood Jr, he explained that the figure refers to specific individuals and what he described as sexual experiences. The singer also said he might meet five to ten women daily.

“When we are on tour, it’s about five to 10 women a day. These guys have way more than me. Some of my homegirls have sex with up to 45,000 guys a year; I’m not capping.”

He added that some women have even higher numbers, claiming that his female acquaintances have dated up to 45,000 men in a single year. Ray J said he started meeting new people in his late teens and maintained a pace of over 400 new partners every year throughout his adult life to reach 12,500.

We Did The Maths

If the estimate of 12,500 partners by age 45 holds true, he averages about 463 partners per year. That breaks down to roughly 39 per month or about 9 per week for 27 consecutive years.

1 person per day → 12,500 days will take him. 34.2 years to reach 12,500

2 per day → 6,250 days will take 17.1 years to get 12,500

5 per day → 2,500 days and 6.8 years to reach 12,500

10 per day → 1,250 days and 3.4 years reach 12,500

To hit 12,500 by age 45, he would have had to live a life entirely dedicated to meeting new people, likely starting in his late teens and maintaining a pace of over 400 new partners every year for his entire adult life. He stated in the interview that he meets five to ten women daily, but such consistency over a long period does not align with that pace. This suggests that the “five to ten women daily” figure reflects short-term peaks rather than a sustained long-term average.

Is it possible?

To reach 12,500 partners by age 45, Ray J would have needed to meet approximately 463 new people every single year for 27 years straight.

While he claims to meet 5 to 10 women a day, the math shows he only needs to meet roughly 9 per every single week to hit his total. His “daily” figure likely describes short-term periods (like being on tour) rather than a daily routine over three decades.

Furthermore, for the claim to be true, his entire adult life would have to be dedicated almost exclusively to meeting new women, with almost no “off” days or long-term monogamous periods since his late teens.

Finally, earlier this year, he mentioned he doesn’t have long to life because his heart was working at 25%, perhaps because of he has strained it from too much sexual activity.
