The death of Nollywood actress and content creator Nimmy Ferrari has taken another turn following claims involving the house she completed shortly before her death.
NBG Africa reported that Nimmy Ferrari, whose real name was Adesanya Nimota Omotolani, died at the age of 26 in early September. Her death came just days before she was expected to celebrate the completion of her new home in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Fellow actress Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, initially announced her death on social media. Reports later said Ferrari’s younger sister also confirmed the news.
The young actress had been preparing for a housewarming before her death. Instead, family members, friends and colleagues gathered at the property for her burial.
Videos from the funeral showed mourners at the residence as the family laid her to rest within the compound.
A House She Never Got to Celebrate
Ferrari had recently completed the Sagamu property and planned to mark the achievement with a housewarming ceremony.
Her death came before that celebration could take place.
The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. Several reports have linked it to complications following surgery for fibroids. However, her family has not publicly confirmed the cause of death.
Following her death, videos from the property showed preparations for her burial. Her remains were eventually laid to rest within the compound of the newly completed home.
The house has now become central to fresh claims involving members of her family.
Mother Speaks About the Property
Ferrari’s mother has now spoken publicly about what she says has happened since her daughter’s burial.
She claims that Nimmy’s father’s family plans to exhume her body from the property because they plan to sell it. She said she gave the go ahead for her daughter to be buried there since she had no child before her death.
According to her, she single-handedly took care of Nimmy since her childhood. She also alleges that Nimmy’s father once broke her head when she requested for her school fees. She claimed that her father recommended the Abeokuta hospital the late actress had the surgery that led to her death. Even while at the the hospital, she said none of the father’s family members visited them before her daughter’s untimely death.
She claimed that she had given birth to five children for him and all are dead now.
For now, several important details surrounding the property remain unclear. There is no reliable public information confirming whether Ferrari left a will. Available reporting also does not establish the legal ownership arrangements surrounding the property beyond reports that she built the house.
