Omah Lay, the Grammy-nominated singer, admits he is “crazy” and believes creating art helps him feel better.
Omah Lay is a Nigerian Afrobeats and Afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and producer. He rose to fame with songs like ‘Bad Influence,’ ‘You,’ ‘Godly,’ and later ‘Soso’ and ‘Understand.’
In a Kiss Xtra interview, Omah Lay admitted that, as a creative, his personality can be intense and unconventional. He added that his “head isn’t correct” and said making music is important for his emotional well-being because it keeps him balanced.

“I’m a creative, I’m insane, and my head is not right. I need to make art to feel good,” he explained.
He also said he is confident about achieving unprecedented financial success and becoming the continent’s “wealthiest artiste,” with plans to create projects that will have global impact.
The singer has made headlines in recent weeks for a series of bold and provocative statements about himself and his music career, particularly ahead of the release of his album Clarity of Mind.
He previously described himself as “Nigeria’s best artiste of the last 20 years” and “the greatest Afrobeats artiste of the decade.”
