Emmanuel Obasi, former husband to Judy Austin, has responded to the N1 billion lawsuit she filed against him.
Obasi confirmed that he received the legal action but said it would not silence him.
He insisted that he would continue speaking about his children and his experiences.
In a video shared online, Obasi questioned the amount involved in the lawsuit.

Obasi mocked the N1 billion claim and said he found the figure amusing.

He welcomed the admission and asked her to explain what happened afterward.
“Thank God in that your lawsuit, you said the last time I called was 2018,” he said.
Obasi then questioned whether Austin blocked him after that call. He also accused her of preventing him from seeing their children.
“Why are you hiding my children from me? Why are you manipulating those children?” he asked.
Obasi says lawsuit will not stop him
Despite the lawsuit, Obasi said he would continue demanding access to his children from his ex-wife.
He insisted that legal action would not intimidate him or force him into silence.
“Do you think the lawsuit can scare me away from asking for my children? The answer is no,” he said.
Obasi also declared that he would accept whatever consequences followed his actions.
“Either I have my children or I go to jail,” he stated.
He questioned whether discussing his alleged experiences about his being denied access to his children amount to defamation.

Obasi argued that defamation involves making false claims about another person.
“I thought defamation was when somebody lies against you,” he said.
He maintained that he wanted to tell his pain of being denied access and bonding with his children rather than make false accusations.

Obasi also described an alleged meeting he had with Austin in Nnewi.
According to him, Austin travelled from Enugu to Nnewi so they could resolve their differences privately. He claimed they stayed at Hotel de Hersen on New Market Road in Nnewi.
“Did you travel to Enugu to come to Nnewi to see me? The answer is yes,” he said.
“Did we lodge in Hotel de Hersen, New Market Road, Nnewi? Second floor, did we lodge there? The answer is yes.”
Obasi concluded by saying the lawsuit would not stop him from publicly demanding access to his children.
“It’s not this time. I will be speaking till I put on that cloth and go to jail,” he said.
He maintained that he would continue speaking about the matter despite the legal action.
