It was crickets from Diiadem on Dabota Lawson’s June 2 birthday.
The Real Housewives of Lagos co-stars and beauty founders Adeola ‘Diiadem’ Adeyemi and Dabota Lawson built a strong friendship during the show.
Off-air, their friendship seemed to be budding. There were public shows of support for one another, with the two attending each other’s events and frequently being seen out in public together.

During Diiadem’s lavish 35th birthday earlier this year, Dabota was front and centre celebrating with her friend for reaching that milestone, but fans are noticing something weird happening behind the scenes. In the world of celebrity and social media, actions like a follow, an unfollow, or a birthday wish speak volumes.
Birthdays are supposed to be a day when people publicly show love for their friends. Since almost everyone is constantly on their phones, and since Diiadem proved it by posting other content on her story that same day, it is highly suspicious that she didn’t bother to share a simple shoutout to Dabota on her Instagram.
A feed post may be asking for too much, but ignoring your good friend on her birthday is a bit strange, especially since Dabota poured out so much love during Diiadem’s birthday, saying, “My darling sister, friend, my partner in business and sister in Christ.”
Furthermore, last year she posted Dabota on her feed, her caption was, “From being colleagues in the industry to becoming castmates on RHOL and now sisters in real life; our bond just keeps getting stronger. You’re such a beautiful soul, Dabota. Confident, classy, and so full of grace.
Thank you for being so intentional with our friendship, for your love, your prayers, and for always showing up for me; even beyond the cameras. This new chapter will be your best yet. God’s hand is upon you and your light will never dim.”
Eyebrows are rising higher than the Burj Khalifa because Diiadem told streamer, Jarvis that she has no friends in Lagos and her only friend lives in Canada. Of course, this is merely speculative since they are still following each other at the time of publication.
