Things just got interesting for Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, as the Delta State Police Command and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have announced their interest in allegations against her.
The relationship and mental health influencer has been in a pool of allegations for a couple of weeks now, following her cancer claims in March. Blessing allegedly received donations from sympathizers after she announced that she was diagnosed with stage four cancer.
Now, Blessing is under police and EFCC probe.

She reportedly raised ₦13 million from the public. However, things took a dramatic turn when people started noticing inconsistencies in her story. Events that followed, including an interview with Arise TV, have made people very skeptical of her claims. The backlash since then has been massive.
Apart from the donations, there is something worse. Blessing allegedly forged and presented a medical report to the public to support her cancer claims.
The report originally belonged to a woman named Deborah Mbara, a breast cancer survivor from Asaba, Delta State. Mbara later came out in a video posted on her social media account to clear the air.
She explained that she had actually met Blessing in 2025 when she worked as her makeup artist. Later, when she saw Blessing claiming to have stage four cancer, she reached out to support her. Blessing asked for Mbara’s report so she could compare it to her own. Instead of just comparing, Blessing allegedly changed the details and used the report to beg for donations.
Recently, in an interview with popular skit maker Egungun of Lagos, Blessing admitted she does not have stage four cancer. However, she refused to apologize and said she doesn’t owe anyone an apology, even though she collected millions.
According to Punch, Mbara’s lawyer, Sunny Anyanwu, has now petitioned the EFCC, Nigeria’s independent anti-fraud agency. He claims Blessing made over ₦300 million from the scheme by moving money from a special GTBank account opened just for donations. He said one person even donated ₦20 million, but Blessing claimed she only received ₦10 million.
In the interview with Punch, the lawyer said Mbara is very traumatized because her private medical records are now all over the internet and TV.
The Delta State Police and the EFCC have both confirmed they received petitions and are waiting for the complainants to come and give statements so they can start proper investigations.
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Delta State has distanced itself from the report and said it was fake. Also, the doctor who originally signed the report supported the NMA’s statement.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Monday Ubani, called the alleged act “clear deception and obtaining money by false pretense.” He said if it’s proven she lied and collected money, she should be prosecuted. The Nigerian Cancer Society also condemned the false claims and asked security agencies to investigate.
However, now that Blessing is under police and EFCC probe, Nigerians are a little glad that something is being done about this drama.
As of now, it seems it has dawned on Blessing CEO how much of a mess she might be in, as she has deactivated her socials and has not responded to the new allegations.
