Bamike “BamBam” Olawunmi and Tope Adenibuyan, popularly known as Teddy A, first met in 2018 on Big Brother Naija.
In an interview with Chude, Teddy A revealed that they did not like each other at first. BamBam, a church girl, was put off by his tattoos, while Teddy A thought she was too reserved.
Over time, constant interaction broke down those assumptions, and before the end of the show, their love story blossomed. 
In September 2019, BamBam and Teddy A got married, and their wedding felt like a fairytale ending for fans who had watched their love story unfold on television.
Since then, the couple have built a family together and are parents to two children.
On their Instagram pages, they share their love, family moments, celebrations, and public support for each other’s careers until December 2025.

No matching pyjamas?
During Christmas, fans noticed that BamBam and Teddy A did not share matching pyjamas or joint family photos, something they had done in previous years. Instead, they posted separate Christmas photoshoots.
This small detail sparked the beginning of fresh rumours of a marriage crisis.
Social media users began dissecting their posts, reading meanings into captions and even silence.
Then, they unfollowed each other
The rumours have now intensified when fans noticed that BamBam and Teddy A had unfollowed each other on Instagram. For many, this felt like confirmation that something was wrong.
Recall that since 2025, BamBam’s career has been on a strong upward path, majorly due to Achalugo— the movie, ‘Love In Every Word’. Since then, she has taken on more daring, romantic roles that have generated buzz online.

This speculation has linked the rumours to her on-screen chemistry with co-stars, although neither she nor Teddy A has publicly supported this narrative.
Abuse Rumours and the Chude Interview
Before this recent crisis rumour, their marriage had not been free from controversy.
In a widely discussed interview on the With Chude podcast, Teddy A addressed long-standing rumours that he physically abused BamBam, including claims that the abuse happened during her pregnancy.
Teddy A explained that he was initially advised to stay silent and let the story die down. However, he later realised that staying quiet allowed the false narrative to stick.
As of now, both BamBam and Teddy A have remained silent about the current rumours.
No official statement has confirmed a separation or marital crisis. What exists instead is a swirl of online opinions, think pieces, and assumptions about a marriage the public does not truly see.
