The film has enjoyed sustained audience interest weeks after its release, on 19 December, 2025, in Nigerian cinemas.
The film is led by Toyin Abraham, who also serves as director and producer. The plot is centred on a family headed by an Igbo father (Michael Ezuruonye) and a Yoruba mother (Toyin Abraham); the film explores tribalism, religious extremism, and generational tension before ultimately arriving at a story of family and sacrifice.

Abraham plays Toun, the outspoken matriarch and devoted church worker who never misses an opportunity to police other people’s behaviour, often holding up her own children as moral examples. Ironically, despite Toun’s loud devotion, her children end up choosing paths that sharply contradict everything she preaches.
