Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates Aikou and Flora have lost their Gambit status after spending five weeks protected from eviction.
Biggie returned both housemates to the main competition on Monday, August 31. The change means they can now compete for the season’s grand prize. It also removes the immunity that had guaranteed them places in the finale.
Aikou and Flora are now among the housemates facing possible eviction this week. 
Who Are Aikou and Flora?
Aikou, whose real name is Amyr Yousufzai, is a 25-year-old tech professional from Abuja. Before entering the house, he worked as a backend and web developer. He also taught freelance and previously pursued music.
Aikou has presented himself as analytical and reserved during the season. In recent diary sessions, he spoke about developing stronger bonds with Keivo and Barry as he settled into the game.
His Gambit role also placed him at the centre of several secret assignments from Biggie.
Flora Egbedi is a 30-year-old entrepreneur, makeup artist and content creator from Delta State. She entered the house saying she was focused on the game rather than finding a relationship.
Flora has remained outspoken during her time in the house. Her reaction to becoming a Gambit, however, showed a different side of her.
She broke down after Biggie privately informed her of the role. Flora admitted that becoming a Gambit was not what she wanted.
How They Became the Gambits
Big Brother introduced the Gambit twist during the first live show on August 2. Viewers voted for one male and one female housemate to receive the special status.
Flora topped the female poll with about 29 per cent of the votes. Aikou secured the male position with 9.10 per cent.
Their victory came with an unusual trade-off. Both received automatic protection until the finale. Housemates could not nominate or evict them.
However, the role also removed them from the race for the grand prize. Biggie later gave them secret missions throughout their time as Gambits.
One of the latest assignments required Aikou and Flora to convince each other that they had developed romantic feelings. Biggie gave both the same mission separately, without telling either that the other had received identical instructions.
For several weeks, their Gambit status also kept them outside the normal nomination process.

How They Lost the Status
The game changed again during Sunday’s live eviction show.
Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced a new twist called “Operation Release the Gambit.”
This time, viewers had to decide whether Big Brother should release Aikou, Flora or both from their special roles.
Leaving the Gambit position meant giving up guaranteed passage to the finale. In return, the housemate would regain the right to compete for the prize.
Viewers chose to release both. Biggie confirmed the outcome during Monday’s nomination session and reinstated Aikou and Flora as full housemates.
Their Gambit chapter officially ended there.
Now They Face Eviction
Their return to the main game immediately came with consequences. Big Brother later cancelled the housemates’ nomination saves after repeated discussions about nominations and attempts to influence the process.
That decision left only Head of House Abi and Most Influential Player of the Week Sheba safe.
Every other eligible housemate entered the eviction pool. The list includes Aikou and Flora alongside Barry, Keivo, Gerard, Tram, Araga, Bells, Oyin, Nomy, Yusuf, Chimsom Chuka, Temi Nkem, Ricky and Bluethopia.
For Aikou and Flora, it is their first real exposure to eviction since becoming Gambits early in the season.
