Ahead of her new album release, Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has opened up about a secret relationship that influenced her music.
The multi-award-winning singer discussed the experience during a recent interview with the BBC while promoting her upcoming album, Starrgirl.
The album is scheduled for release on Friday, August 14. Ayra Starr revealed that her experience in a secret relationship inspired one of the album’s standout tracks, Where Do We Go.

The Secret Relationship She Struggled to Leave
