MC Fish, the estranged ex-husband of Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, has responded to claims about their marriage, accusing his former wife of allegedly telling the public lies for the reason of their separation.
The celebrity hypeman addressed the issue in a lengthy Instagram stories, where he detailed what he described as the sacrifices he made during their marriage.
MC Fish claimed he used his earnings and took loans to maintain the lifestyle they presented to the public. 
“You claimed to the public that you fed me when all we did was use my hard-earned money and take loans to add to that just to keep up a fake lifestyle.”
He also challenged claims that Anita funded their trips, insisting that he paid for the tickets and contributed his money towards their travels.
MC Fish claims he funded Dubai trip
MC Fish specifically addressed discussions surrounding a trip to Dubai, claiming that his connections helped them enjoy their one-month stay without paying for food.
He alleged that friends he had made through the nightlife scene also gave them gifts, adding that he shared a significant portion of the gifts with Anita.
“That same Dubai trip you’re paying blogs to talk about, it was because of me we never paid a dime for food throughout the one month we stayed in that city.”
The former couple also travelled together during their marriage, and MC Fish disputed the narrative that Anita solely funded their trips.

MC Fish says he became Anita Joseph’s manager
He further claimed that he temporarily abandoned his career to support Anita’s professional growth by acting as her manager.
He said he accompanied her to various engagements and helped her pursue opportunities without expecting anything in return.
“The times I stepped up and became your manager, literally going with you everywhere, abandoning my career for a bit to make you get to greater heights, I never asked for anything.”
He also claimed that his family connections helped Anita secure a property ambassadorial deal.
According to MC Fish, the CEO of the property company had previously bought a car from his father before his father relocated to Canada in 2015.
He alleged that his surname, Olagunju, stood out when the company considered three people for the ambassadorial deal because of that previous connection.

MC Fish speaks about their finances after separation
The entertainer also claimed that Anita struggled to maintain some of the financial arrangements they had during their marriage after their separation.
He alleged that he had paid a car loan with ease while they were together but claimed that the vehicle was later repossessed after he left.
MC Fish also claimed that he had moved apartments twice within 18 months since their separation while paying off debts.
“I have moved apartments twice within the space of 18 months, cleared debt and still clearing.”
He further alleged that the house they rented in Chevron stood in his name and claimed that Anita later lost the property after their separation.

MC Fish claims he sacrificed his career for the marriage
Reflecting on the beginning of their relationship, MC Fish said he met Anita in 2018 and found himself in a situation he had not expected.
He claimed that he faced ridicule and embarrassment because of their relationship while he worked hard to provide a comfortable life for them.
“In 2018 when I met you I was on a trajectory and found myself in something I never expected coming.”
He accused Anita of spreading what he described as rumours about his financial achievements.
MC Fish makes claim about Anita’s pregnancy loss
MC Fish also made a sensitive claim about Anita’s pregnancy loss, linking it to her alleged use of waist trainers.
“Remember I told you it was because of all those waist trainers you are wearing that you lost my child.”
The claim remains an allegation made by MC Fish, and he did not provide evidence in the Instagram post to substantiate it.
MC Fish threatens to release alleged evidence
Towards the end of his statement, MC Fish claimed that he had screenshots and recordings relating to Anita’s alleged dealings with an unnamed “MAN of God”.
“And remember I have screenshots and tapped recordings of all your dealings with that certain MAN of God.”
He concluded by accusing Anita of using blogs and other women on social media to spread what he described as lies about him.
“So keep on paying blogs and using a collection of bitter women in this social space to spread many lies about me. Na here we dey.”
