Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly confirmed the death of her second son, Bryan Onyedikachi, while she remains in custody in Lagos.
Actress Doris Ogala shared details of a phone conversation in which Blessing confirmed the death of her son , according to reports published on September 26 and 27. The reports came after Amira Agiye of the Isaamira Love Foundation announced the death and appealed for ₦56 million for the self-acclaimed therapist.
Blessing, however, said she did not authorise the announcement or the fundraising appeal. 
Blessing disputes the appeal
Agiye’s appeal reportedly presented ₦20 million as money needed to meet Blessing’s bail conditions and another ₦36 million linked to financial claims.
Blessing denied giving anyone permission to speak publicly about the death or raise money in her name.
“I didn’t give anybody consent,” she said, according to her conversation with Doris Ogala.
The denial means the appeal was not from an authorised family fundraiser. Ogala later urged people who donated through the appeal to request refunds. However, no verified public record has established how much money the appeal received or whether any refunds have been completed.
Reports say she remains in custody
Blessing’s personal loss comes as she continues to face an alleged ₦69.15 million property-fraud case before the Lagos State Special Offences Court.
The court granted her ₦20 million bail in July. The conditions included two sureties in like sum, financial-document requirements and restrictions on international travel.
Latest reports say Blessing remains at Kirikiri because she has not yet satisfied the conditions. She pleaded not guilty, and the case is scheduled to continue on October 12, 2026.
The bail ruling does not amount to a finding of guilt. Her continued detention, as reported, relates to the completion of the bail conditions rather than a conviction.
Other cases remain separate
Blessing has also faced separate proceedings linked to an alleged ₦36 million property transaction and an alleged ₦13 million medical-donation and false-document matter.
Earlier reports said she pleaded not guilty in the reported proceedings. These cases are different from the ₦69.15 million matter, and no conviction has been reported in any of them.
It also remains unclear whether the disputed appeal was authorised or how much money, if any, donors contributed.
The next known court date in the ₦69.15 million case is October 12, while those questions remain unresolved.
