Joy Tongo warned that she would take legal action against Qing Madi if she spread false accusations that could damage her reputation. She stated that “stealing and forgery are not things I take lightly” and added that she would “pursue all available legal remedies” if false claims continued to circulate online.

She also rejected Qing Madi’s comments about the ongoing legal dispute. She questioned Qing Madi’s claim of winning a court case, saying, “What case have you won? Because last time I checked, the case still hasn’t gone to trial.

During a recent TikTok livestream, Qing Madi revealed that she was only 16 years old when she signed with JTON Music. She also stated that she won a court case after her former label took legal action against her.

The singer mentioned that her former manager, Joy Tongo, attempted to sabotage her upcoming tour by informing sponsors that she would not participate. According to Qing Madi, these actions were intended to damage her career.

She explained that although she has many things she would like to say about the situation, she remains focused on making music. However, she believes certain individuals continue to work against her despite her dedication and hard work.

Speaking about Joy Tongo, Qing Madi made several allegations, saying, “She stole from me and did a bunch of weird things like forging my signature.” She sued me for $2 million and lost the case. She took down ‘Pepper Me’. I worked with my team to prove it was an illegal takedown. They later found another way to take down the project.”

Qing Madi also said that Joy Tongo caused her emotional trauma.

The singer thanked her fans for supporting and streaming her music despite what she described as limited funding for promotion and advertising.

She said that her former management team controlled many aspects of her life while she was signed to the label. According to her, the only area she fully controlled was her music.

Qing Madi also claimed that her former team made her wear outfits that did not reflect her personal style. She said they often required her to wear clothing, including crop tops, that made her uncomfortable.

She stated that no one would silence her and that she would continue to defend herself regardless of any opposition she faces.

The dispute also drew reactions from social media users. One commenter criticised Joy Tongo’s approach to the conflict and argued that she should have handled the situation differently.

The commenter noted that, given Joy Tongo’s experience in the music industry and her role in Qing Madi’s early career, she could have chosen mentorship, guidance, and reconciliation over a public dispute
