In a recent Instagram Live session, Nigerian highlife star Flavour N’abania dropped a statement that has raised eyebrows and amused people. When asked about his “personal persons” (romantic partners), the singer said:
“There are some men that women keep in the house; I’m not that kind of man. I am an explorer; I belong to everybody. I belong to the whole wide world.”
He went on to describe himself as undomesticated and impossible to cage. The clip quickly went viral with thousands of reactions.

Sandra Okagbue is married in Her Eyes and single in Flavour’s
Critics are particularly against this confession because of Flavour’s long-standing relationship with Sandra Uche Okagbue, a former beauty queen and mother of two of his children. Sandra has consistently presented herself publicly as Flavour’s wife. She always refers to him as her husband, attends family events with him, and shares posts that strongly suggest a marital relationship between them.
Flavour has never publicly claimed Sandra as his wife. In 2015, when marriage rumours surfaced, his team and the singer himself pushed back. Flavour tweeted that he was still single.
Not so long ago, in June 2024, while Sandra posted family moments and mourned his father as a “daughter-in-law”, Flavour maintained and has continued to maintain a careful distance in public declarations.
While Sandra continues to fight the public narrative of marriage, Flavour’s words suggest he has no intention of being “kept in the house”.

Flavour has never hidden his love for women. Even his music, persona, and public statements often celebrate a free-spirited, larger-than-life image. The recent Live only reinforces that Flavour sees himself as belonging to the world, not confined to one home or one woman.
