Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has officially clinched the AAC governorship ticket for Abia State’s 2027 election, marking a major leap from entertainment into active politics.
Her candidacy places her among a growing number of Nigerian entertainers who have sought elective office, moving from public influence in the entertainment industry to direct participation in governance and political leadership.
Doris Ogala is a Nigerian actress, entrepreneur, and media personality from Abia State. She became popular in the early 2010s through her roles in television productions and Nollywood films like Airline Babes. Over the years, she has steadily built a strong public profile within Nigeria’s entertainment industry. 
Beyond acting, Ogala has remained active on social media, where she is known for speaking openly on political, religious, and celebrity-related issues.
