If you have been following Priscilla Ojo-Mkambala on Snapchat or Instagram this week, you already know she is not in Lagos. She is in Guangzhou, China, and she came with a purpose.
Priscy, the fashion entrepreneur behind PCE (@priscycloset_), has been on a well-deserved break since her wedding to Tanzanian artist Juma Jux and the birth of their son, Rakeem. The break was earned. Weddings are exhausting. The honeymoon period is real. New motherhood changes everything. She clearly took the time she needed.
By day three of a two-week China trip, she is already in a fabric mall sourcing materials to restock. The glamour of being a celebrity wife does not stop the hustle. 
What Is She Doing There?
Guangzhou is one of the world’s most important textile and fabric sourcing hubs. For fashion business owners, a trip there is essentially a business necessity.
Priscilla posted videos from a fabric mall in Guangzhou, walking through aisles of textiles, touching materials, and making business decisions. The caption was simple: “Back with a banger!”
Priscy is spending two weeks sourcing fabrics and materials for PCE ahead of what appears to be a proper relaunch of the brand now that the wedding chapter has closed.
She also shared an interesting titbit on Snapchat: her husband, Juma, speaks Chinese. While she acknowledged this isn’t entirely surprising given that he studied in China, what made it funny was her self-awareness about it.
“I hear my husband speak Swahili every day. Ten years from now I still won’t understand it. So hearing him speak Chinese would also be surprising for me.”

Something Else Coming
She also mentioned that @africaboy_brand (Juma’s brand) would be coming soon. The couple are clearly not in rest mode. Between PCE resuming and Africa Boy Brand on the horizon, it looks like this new chapter is going to be a busy one for both of them.
Two weeks in Guangzhou, a brand relaunch in motion, and a husband’s brand coming soon too. The break is over. The question now is how big PCE is about to get when she returns.
