Nafisat Feenah Hammed found herself at the centre of public attention after Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya announced the end of their marriage on June 22, 2026, less than a year after their wedding.
The couple married on June 29, 2025, during a Muslim wedding ceremony at the Central Mosque in Sabo, Mokola, Ibadan.
At the time, the wedding attracted attention among fans of the actor, who described it as a new chapter in his life. 
Little was publicly known about Nafisat before the marriage.
Unlike her husband, who built his career in the Yoruba movie industry, she largely stayed away from the entertainment spotlight.
The marriage became a major talking point after Olaiya announced its collapse.
In a statement shared on social media, the actor claimed problems started a few months after the wedding.
According to him, Nafisat refused to attend an event with him and later left their matrimonial home without informing him.
Olaiya said he made several attempts to reconcile with his wife and members of her family.
He claimed those efforts failed and alleged that Nafisat repeatedly told him she was no longer interested in continuing the marriage.
The actor later announced that he considered the marriage over.
Nafisat has now offered her own account of what happened.
In a video circulating online, she said she did not leave the marriage without reason.
She accused the actor of having an affair with one of her bridesmaids, whom she described as her best friend.
The allegation has since generated debate on social media.
However, neither party has publicly provided evidence to support or refute the claims.
Since Nafisat’s video surfaced online, many social media users have shared their opinions.
One user argued that she had no right to feel betrayed because she entered a polygamous marriage.
Another wrote, “Second wives should not be demanding honesty and integrity from their husbands.”
A third user commented, “She’s mad. For someone like her, jealousy or feeling betrayed shouldn’t be something of concern. You are the second wife.”
For now, most of what the public knows comes from statements made after the separation.
Both parties continue to attract attention as discussions about the failed marriage unfold online.
