African Simba has issued a lengthy and detailed response defending his handling of Fave’s recent trip to Uganda for a show.
Simba, CEO of African Simba Events, quoted Fave’s original post reported by NBG Africa. She had accused him of underpaying her and treating her “like shit.” He told his own side of the story, systematically going through the events of the booking.

Simba’s Side of the Story
In an X post on September 10, Simba explained that he received Fave at the airport with two Range Rovers. Although she usually stays in the same apartment whenever she visits Uganda, he upgraded her accommodation to a luxury hotel. He recounted that he later moved her into a suite after she rejected the standard room, and covered the extra without complaint.
The Ugandan event planner and influencer said they created promotional content together for the shows, but had to repeatedly ask her to post it. On her day off, when her manager requested a car for her activities, he rearranged his driver’s schedule to provide one.
He also claimed that her manager informed him she had overslept on another occasion, yet he chose not to make the information public.
On the performance itself, Simba stated the agreement was for a 45-minute set, but Fave performed for less than the contracted time. He reported that parts of the Ugandan audience were disappointed because many of the songs she performed were unfamiliar to them.
Despite this, Simba, who seems to be working with Fave for the first time, claims he protected her reputation and did not speak out at the time.
“Brought Me to Your Country for So Much Less Than I’m Worth”
According to Fave, the promoter has brought her to Uganda for so much less than her worth. However, Simba fired back. He said insisted that the agreed amount was fully paid before the show and that he does not understand the claim of underpayment.
Simba also referenced issues that arose around shows in Kenya. When one performance became unavailable, he said he secured another so she could still do two shows. When her team missed a flight, he stayed up dealing with the agent, paid a penalty upfront after her team agreed to reimburse it, and continued working to resolve the problems.
In the end, before writing a list of the things he claimed to have done, Simba wrote:
“So when you say I “treated you like shit,” I have to ask: which part? I could have exposed a lot. I chose to protect you instead.”
Simba added:
“I am not claiming everything was perfect. But saying I treated you like shit completely ignores the effort, money, time, and respect I put into making your stay and these shows work. The conversations, contracts, payments, and records speak for themselves. I don’t need to insult you. I just need to show facts.”
Response by Fave’s Management Team
TheRadioChef (TRC!), who appears to be part of Fave’s management team, gave a sharp response to African Simba’s post. She accused him of presenting a selective version of events, challenging several of his claims.
She rejected the claim that the hotel upgrade was a generous gesture, stating Simba initially booked a standard room, which the team rejected.
TRC! also provided more context around the oversleeping incident. She confirmed she did tell African Simba that Fave overslept. She, however, explained that the delays were caused by a dispute over the DJ choice that made them late for an interview.
On travel, TRC! claimed Simba booked an early flight without proper consultation, and both parties missed it.
Regarding Kenya, which she was more critical about, TRC! criticised Simba for scheduling a major TV interview without notice and poor logistics. She added that the disorganisation forced the team to pay for food on the last day, and left them stranded at the airport with a single-entry visa issue on their return.
TRC! argued that accommodation, cars and logistics were part of a standard artist booking, not personal favours, and called on Simba to present all the facts rather than an edited version.
As of the time of this report, Fave has not made any public reply to Simba’s statement.
