Nigerian singer Fave posted a simple photo dump on X, and it quickly escalated into a broader complaint about how a local promoter in Uganda treated her.
The Mr. Man crooner was in a heated exchange with Ugandan users on X after sharing photos from her recent trip to the country.
How it Started
On September 9, Fave posted a series of photos accompanied by the Ugandan flag and an orange heart as the caption, reflecting on her time in Uganda. 
An Ugandan user, @miss_counsel, replied hours later with a pointed critique of her performance in Uganda:
“This is the night you performed for us at thrones as if we had forced you (I recognize that outfit).”
Fave, who performed in Uganda on September 2, did not let it slide. She quoted the post and replied:
“Your head no actually correct,” which is “your head is not correct,” practically calling the user foolish.
A few minutes later, she followed up with a longer post that changed the course of the conversation from the critic to the promoter who brought her to Uganda. She wrote:
“It’s people like you and that silly promoter that make it hard for people to have nice things to say about Uganda. Brought me to your country for so much less than I’m worth and still treated me like shit. But I ignored it because of my love for Uganda.”

How Ugandans Responded
Some users immediately took Fave’s side, offering apologies on behalf of the industry, with comments like, “We are sorry on behalf of all your fans, me inclusive” and “Apologies on behalf of the lousy a$$ promoter. You did good though”
A few even called for the promoter to be named so they could “deal with him,” while some explained that the complaint was the least of Uganda’s current worries. One person replied:
“Fave, my dear, first wait; we shall get back to your issues. We have a lot going on in our country right now.”
Another simply wrote, “Uganda is currently occupied, sorry tho.”
Among the replies were some focused on the business side of the booking and the original performance critique. Some people noted that accepting a significantly lower fee was already a warning sign that things might go wrong.
Some also claimed Fave performed only about three songs for a crowd that had waited for hours, leaving fans disappointed after they begged for tracks like “Mr. Man.”
A few questioned when the show even happened or expressed surprise that they hadn’t heard about it in the first place.
Fave has performed in Uganda before (notably in 2022 at Club Guvnor) and has previously spoken positively about the country and its fans.
By linking the critic’s comment to the promoter’s alleged mistreatment, Fave framed both as contributing to negative perceptions of Uganda – while still emphasizing that her affection for the country kept her from speaking out sooner.
