The Head of Communications for Sub-Saharan Africa at Meta, Oluwasola Obagbemi, said the partnership highlights how Facebook helps creators connect with fans, build communities, and earn from their original content.
“Through our partnership around The Four premieres in London and Lagos, we’re celebrating the creators shaping culture, helping more creators who share original and engaging content on Facebook to succeed,” he stated.
Funke Akindele welcomed the collaboration. In the video announcement she notes that Nigerian and African films have stories strong enough to reach audiences far beyond the continent.
She announced the deal on her social media platform with the message: “We’re taking THE FOUR to the world, and Facebook is coming with us!”
What Fans Should Expect from the Facebook and The Four Partnership
Audiences will get access to behind-the-scenes moments, premiere looks, preparations, and other exclusive content through the Meta Africa page, Funke Akindele’s official pages, and FAAN TV.
