There is a video making the rounds of Nigerian actress and movie producer Bimbo Ademoye where she is seen cuddling an older woman with the caption, “Meet my mum! ‘The love of my life. Mommy!”
This is definitely a surprise, considering she has always been open about being raised by a single father after her mother walked out on her at just two years old.
In a 2023 podcast with Hawa Magaji, she opened up about how her mother is alive and lives about 15–20 minutes away from her, but they just don’t have a friendship. 
She even said she felt betrayed by her mother, but she still supports her financially: “My first ever betrayal came from my mother. We tried to rekindle the relationship. I would not want to use the word ‘rekindle’ because there was no romance there because I did not get to know her, but I tried to build a relationship with her. Right now, we have a relationship. I am doing my duty as a child. I pay for this, pay for the rent and allowances.”
Bimbo has never disclosed her name but said she is fine with that distant relationship, the lack of friendship and closeness because that’s what is best for her mental health and sanity.
With the video of them cuddling in a restaurant, it seems that there is no more trouble in paradise and they have reconciled; that would be great because, as Bimbo has said, they look so much like each other.
