If you pay ₦20 million for your wedding outfits, you expect exceptional quality, professionalism, expert craftsmanship, and premium customer service, but according to this bride, that was not her experience.

@iam.levitation on TikTok did a four-part TikTok series detailing her alleged experience with luxury fashion brand Emagine By Bukola.

In the videos, she shared what she described as months of missed deadlines, poor communication, body shaming, and legal threats despite reportedly paying over ₦20 million for her wedding outfits.

How It Started

According to the bride, she had her first consultation call with the designer in November 2024. Her wedding was scheduled for September 2025, and she made it clear that she wanted her outfits ready for pickup by August 2025.

She claimed the first consultation did not go smoothly. The designer allegedly arrived late to the call and was driving during the conversation.

Initially, she planned to make two outfits. However, she eventually commissioned four.

Missed Timelines and Delays

The bride said the designer repeatedly missed deadlines. For instance, she was supposed to send sketches in March but allegedly failed to do so on time.

When the sketches eventually arrived, the bride said she loved them. However, she claimed the designer tried to dissuade her from choosing one particular sketch and also discouraged her from selecting one of the fabrics she preferred.

By May 2025, they finally took her measurements. According to her, six months into the process, it did not appear that significant progress had been made.

Dresses Not Ready for Collection

The situation reportedly escalated when she travelled to Nigeria to collect her outfits, only to discover they were not ready.

She said she had to repeatedly visit the production house herself to monitor progress. Eventually, she travelled back without the dresses.

She further alleged that the designer refused to cover shipping costs to send the outfits abroad.

When the dresses were finally delivered, she claimed that one of them was too tight. According to her, the designer blamed the issue on weight gain and told her it was because she was “fat.”

Refund Request and Legal Threat

The bride also alleged that after expressing dissatisfaction and requesting a refund, she was asked to send her details. However, she claimed she later received a pre-action notice instead.

The bride also claimed the outfit delivered did not meet expectations. According to her, the experience became so stressful that she had to seek alternatives close to her wedding date.

Several social media users have since shared similar stories in her direct messages, alleging poor service and unprofessional conduct. These claims remain unverified.

Other users claimed the brand treats celebrity clients better than regular customers and argued that large fashion brands without proper structure often struggle to manage demand.

While some acknowledged that Emagine By Bukola produces visually impressive designs, many stressed that customer experience is equally important.

After the social dragging, the brand finally responded.
