It’s been five years since Ayra Starr came into the limelight. She’s announcing another project and doing so in style.
Ayra Starr sat down with Spotify for their show, ‘Frequency’, where she announced that she would be releasing her third studio album. Her first two were ’19 & Dangerous’ in 2021 which had hits like ‘Rush’ and ‘The Year I Turned 21’ in 2024 with tracks like ‘Commas’ and ‘Woman commando’.
Ayra Starr has been going through some big changes, including moving to New York and joining Jay-Z’s management and entertainment company, Roc Nation.

Speaking to Spotify, she discussed how she grew up in the Republic of Benin and Lagos and how they both shaped her identity as an “omo dada” (good girl) and a “sabi girl.”
One of the things she’s looking forward to this year is learning how to cook non-Nigerian meals, as well as her third album. With over 3.3 billion Spotify streams and two Grammy nominations, Ayra Starr has done well for herself.

Almost everyone has noticed a shift in Ayra Starr’s usual style—shifting from mini-skirts and crop tops to pencil skirts (sometimes long ones), gowns, and even courtroom-style stilettos.
She’s definitely experiencing a shift from teenage girl to grown woman, and it’s amazing to witness how her style is evolving as she gets older.
