Guinness World Record holder for longest cooking marathon (individual) and largest serving of ‘Nigerian-style’ jollof rice, Hilda Baci is now a three-time Guinness record holder.
Guinness World Record confirmed her as a record holder for the largest serving of rice.
“It has come to our attention when comparing record guidelines of the two record titles you and your team attempted and achieved, ‘Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice,’ you also achieved the record title for the ‘Largest serving of rice’—so you have been proactively awarded this title too.”
Hilda Bacci, in partnership with Gino, prepared the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice in September 2025.
Nigerians within and outside the diaspora supported her through it all, so this new and unexpected record means a lot for the nation and the record holder herself.

“Honestly, God is faithful. The kind of faithful that still surprises you. This feels like such a beautiful reminder that even when you’ve seen the full picture, God can still say, ‘There’s more.’ What a blessing, and what a way to enter this new year,” she said in an Instagram post.
She broke her first Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, 93 hours 11 minutes, on May 15th, 2023.
Since breaking her first record, Hilda has embarked on different projects, like starting her own restaurant, MyFood by Hilda, as well as a cooking class for young people hoping to master the intricacies of cooking.
