What Is The Official Release Date For King of Thieves 2?

According to Femi Adebayo, the sequel will screen from 24 December 2025 – 4 January 2026.
But here’s the twist: it won’t be showing in your regular cinema. Instead, the film will be released exclusively in “community cinemas” across Western Nigeria, with ticket prices set at:
- ₦4,000 in Lagos
- ₦3,000 outside Lagos
He also confirmed that the exact community cinema locations will be announced soon.
What Exactly Is a Community Cinema?
For this release, community cinema will add nostalgia and intentionality.

Instead of the traditional mall theatres, the film will screen in neighborhood-based viewing centers. This is the kind of communal spaces many Nigerians grew up with. Think open-air fields, town halls, school compounds, and local event centers converted into temporary cinemas.
It’s a throwback to the days before multiplexes, when entire communities gathered to watch films together. More so, for a Yoruba epic like ‘Agesinkole,’ this communal arrangement is a perfect fit.
