Charly Boy, a veteran artist and activist, has explained why he introduced former President Olusegun Obasanjo to Nigerian skitmaker and content producer Isbae U for an interview on his show, Curiosity Made Me Ask.
Charly Boy revealed this in a post on X on Monday, September 21, while reflecting on Obasanjo’s debut on the viral YouTube show. He said the interview highlighted the need to create opportunities for young people while encouraging older generations to connect with their views and platforms.
“Sometimes, the greatest thing you fit give a young person no be money. Na opportunity. Look at wetin happen when Baba entered Bae U’s world,” Charly Boy wrote.

Charly Boy Explains Why He Connected Obasanjo and Isbae U
The veteran artist and activist noted that Obasanjo, despite his age and experience, embraced the unconventional format of the show and matched Isbae U’s energy.
“A man of his age and experience sat down with a young man whose style dey completely different from wetin he is used to. Baba no just sit there looking serious. He matched the energy, played along and showed Nigerians another side of himself,” he said.
Charly Boy then revealed his role in creating the connection between the former president and Isbae U.
“And who helped make that connection happen? CharlyBoy. Fada believed in the young people behind that show enough to pull Baba into their space,” he said.
Obasanjo Joins Isbae U for Viral Interview
Obasanjo’s appearance on Curiosity Made Me Ask attracted attention after the former president joined Isbae U in the show’s trademark humour and banter.
