Nigerian music video producer Femi Dapson and his wife, Simi Sanya, an influencer, have shared details of the bridal shower he organised for her earlier in March.
Dapson revealed that he surprised his wife with strippers at the bridal shower, even though she did not expect the surprise. He also explained that Simi’s father, Pastor Olusanya, later found out about what he had planned.
During an interview on With Chude, Femi spoke about the moment and explained why he decided to organise the unusual surprise. 
“I wasn’t having it because I personally, I don’t even like them like that, I was even saying what’s happening here,” Simi said.
The interviewer, Chude, asked Femi and Simi about the idea behind the surprise. Simi responded:
“Do you have a conversation with me, he shocked me.”
Femi explained that he wanted to avoid doing something ordinary for his wife.
“I don’t like being boring, I don’t like doing the normal things. Who gave the rule that I just have to come with only flowers? I can just spice it up and shock all of you. I know it’s not her vibe, honestly. I just want to see that shock on her face. They were not even there for long. They just spent three minutes,” he said.
“There weren’t there for long. I just want to laugh and see the shock on her face,” Femi continued.
Simi also described Femi as someone who enjoys having fun and catching a cruise.
“He is actually that funny. He catches cruise sometimes like that, it was soo funny,” she said.
Femi explained that the strippers were his friends and that he had known them for some time. He also revealed that one of them worked as a model and had previously modelled for him in his first music video.
Simi said the surprise made her laugh. But she also worried about what her parents might think, especially because her father is a pastor.
“It was actually funny. But in that moment, I was worried really about my parents. I’m not going to lie,” she said.
Chude then asked Simi whether her parents spoke to her about the surprise after finding out what happened at the bridal shower.
Femi explained that he had spoken to Simi’s parents about the plan. However, he said he told them that his friends had organised the surprise instead of admitting that he had planned it himself.
