Nigerian businessman and British-Nigerian influencer Igho ‘Tiny’ Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, died in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 6. He reportedly lost consciousness during a massage session before being rushed to hospital.
Health Authorities Investigates Clinic
Ubiribo’s death has since prompted an investigation by Thailand’s health authorities. The investigation centres on a clinic in Bangkok’s Pathum Wan area, Thaiger reports .
Thailand’s Health Service Support Department inspected the facility on September 7. Officials are now examining the circumstances surrounding Ubiribo’s final treatment. 
Ubiribo reportedly underwent five penile filler procedures before his death.
Clinic Reveals Ubiribo’s Treatment History
According to the clinic, Ubiribo had been a regular customer since 2024. The facility said he underwent five penile enlargement filler procedures during that period.
The first four procedures reportedly took place between 2024 and 2025. However, his fifth treatment occurred on March 5, just one day before his death.
The clinic said Ubiribo received 40cc of filler during the final procedure.

Doctors reportedly recommended splitting the treatment into two sessions. However, the clinic claimed Ubiribo insisted on receiving the entire 40cc during one session.
Staff reportedly provided aftercare instructions after each procedure. The clinic also said it followed up with him after his treatments.
According to management, Ubiribo did not report any problems linked to the procedures. The clinic further stated that he signed treatment consent forms before every procedure.
What Happened Before His Death?
Ubiribo reportedly became unconscious during a massage session on March 6.
His wife, Danielle Simba Allen, told medical workers that he had recently received penile filler. She said he fainted twice and complained of chest pain. She subsequently took him to hospital in Sukhumvit, Bangkok. Ubiribo was later pronounced dead.
A UK autopsy reportedly detected molecules of filler in his lungs. The filler was said to have contributed to a pulmonary embolism.
The condition was identified as the cause of his death.
Igho ‘Tiny’ Ubiribo: Thailand Launches Investigation
Thailand’s Public Health Minister, Phattana Promphan, has ordered a full investigation. He warned that the case could affect Thailand’s international healthcare reputation. The minister stressed the importance of maintaining public confidence in the country’s medical facilities.
Consequently, HSS officials visited the clinic to gather evidence and record statements. Officials also assessed the facility’s standards and reviewed relevant information. The clinic’s exact name and location have not been disclosed.
HSS Director-General Phuwadet Surakot led the inspection team. The department said it would process the findings under its legal authority.
It will also submit the case to Thailand’s Medical Council. The council will assess whether the medical procedures met professional standards.
Authorities said the investigation aims to ensure fairness for everyone involved. It also seeks to reassure both Thai and international patients about healthcare safety.
Meanwhile, Ubiribo’s death continues to raise questions about the risks surrounding cosmetic filler procedures.
