Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has denied biting Portable during their recent celebrity boxing rematch in Lagos.
The fight, tagged “Unfinished Business,” took place on July 31 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. It ended in chaos after the match became a wrestling-style scuffle that the referee struggled to control.
Security had to step in to stop the scuffle; however, Portable walked out of the ring. He was brought back but was later disqualified, making Okocha the winner of the match.

A few days later, Portable released a diss track in which he accused Okocha of trying to choke and bite him during the match.
Okocha has now rejected the claim. Speaking at AY and Akpororo’s comedy night, and also on TVC Entertainment, he said:
“Portable has been going around telling people I bit him on the back. I was wearing a mouth guard; how is that even possible? He was just lying.
I would rather chew grass than bite him. I do not want to catch rabies. Have you seen how Portable’s skin looks? Hell no, I would not do that. He should just accept defeat.”
The rivalry between the two dates back to 2023, when Portable accused Okocha of shortchanging him in a business deal involving tens of millions of naira. What started as a social media spat eventually spilled into the boxing ring.
Portable won the first match he had against Charles Okocha in December 2023 at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island. Okocha had always disputed the result of the match. Hence the rematch.
The build-up to the rematch generated massive online attention. The organisers reportedly claimed over two billion video views across previous editions of the Chaos in the Ring series. Fans had expected fireworks, and they got them, but not in the way anyone predicted.
After being defeated by Carter Efe in May at the same venue, this was the second consecutive loss in the ring for Portable.
