Dr Ms. Aisha Achimugu is one of such women. As the head of Felak Concept Group, she leads companies in engineering, oil and gas, and major projects.

Who is Aisha Achimugu?
Dr. Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, OFR was born on January 22, 1974 in Kuje, Abuja. She hails from Ofu Local Government Area, Kogi State.
She was born to Capt. J.E.A. Adole (Rtd.) and Mrs. Adole. She grew up in a disciplined military family that emphasized education and hard work. She attended Federal Government Girls Science School, Kuje, and earned a B.Sc. in Accountancy from the University of Jos in 1998.
Achimugu later obtained a Master’s in Business Management and an honorary doctorate from Commonwealth University, Belize in 2010.
Aisha was married to Engineer Sulaiman Akao Achimugu, a prominent engineer, businessman, and former Managing Director of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of NNPC. According to The Cable, their relationship blossomed from business dealings in the oil and gas sector into a marriage that produced three children.
Unfortunately, in March 2020, her husband passed away in March 2020 as one of Nigeria’s earliest confirmed COVID-19 fatalities. However, she has moved on undauntedly, building a legacy in his memory through business expansion and philanthropy.
She is a devout Muslim and keeps a relatively private family life despite her high public profile.

Aisha is the Group Managing Director and CEO of Felak Concept Group. Felak Concept Group is a diversified Nigerian conglomerate she has built and led for over two decades. The group operates as a technical and professional consortium with about 10 active companies across multiple sectors.

Achimugu serves as Chairman at these companies that are notable for winning oil blocks and international deals. One of these major wins was the multibillion-dollar partnership with Global Petroleum Group for Grenada/Caribbean development which was described as a $1.8 billion project with $8 billion potential over decades.

Another company part of the Felak group, Altex Security, specialises in advanced security services. They offer risk mitigation, private security and smart surveillance services.

Achimugu also founded the Sam Empowerment Foundation (SEF), which focuses on women, youth, and child empowerment. The foundation supports education, skills training, healthcare, and community development.

Achimugu was the first female consultant and transaction advisor for a deep-sea port project in Nigeria’s South-South region. Her business philosophy emphasizes technology, innovation, sustainability, and commitment. She started her entrepreneurial journey around 2001, well before her marriage, and has stressed that her wealth stems from legitimate long-term efforts.
With over 20 years in business, Felak Concept Group has executed over 100 projects, generated significant employment opportunities, and has expanded internationally.
Despite her impressive rise in business, Aisha Achimugu’s lavish lifestyle, luxury assets (including expensive jewelries and exotic cars), and involvement in high-value sectors like oil block acquisitions have drawn intense scrutiny.
This public display of wealth became central to the EFCC’s investigations, which led to multiple court-ordered forfeitures, including billions of naira in jewelries and cars, plus millions of dollars in cash, as authorities alleged some assets were proceeds of unlawful activities.
