Nigerian TikToker Ahmed XM has been at the centre of one of social media’s most followed personal sagas for the better part of a year. In August 2025, he divorced his first wife Safiya to marry his high school lover Safeera, a decision that divided the internet loudly and publicly. On June 19, 2026, he remarried Safiya, with reports confirming the two are now expecting their second child together.
Safeera has now broken her silence. Over a series of Snapchat posts, she gave her account of what happened behind the scenes, and she did not hold much back.
How She Opened
She started cryptically, posting: “Hmm. You can deceive human beings but not God.” It was a short post that made it clear more was coming.

She followed it with a message in French: “Arrêtez de défendre un homme. J’espère que vous avez tiré une leçon de mon expérience. Chai.” Translated, it reads: “Stop defending a man. I hope you have learned a lesson from my experience.”
Why She Stayed Silent for So Long

Safeera addressed her silence directly. She said she had chosen silence out of respect for Ahmed, for the situation, and for people around her whose images she was protecting. But she made it clear that restraint had a limit.
“I remained silent out of respect, but it is clear that this respect was never reciprocated. There is only so much one can endure before deciding to speak out.”

She described a version of Ahmed that she says changed once he found success online; someone who started feeling untouchable and above consequences. “Once he makes it, he starts feeling untouchable, like he’s bigger than the world and can do whatever he wants without consequences,” she said.
Her assessment of the relationship was also direct: “He doesn’t love me at all. He is very selfish and a liar.”
Why She Defended Him in 2025
One of the more revealing parts of her account was her explanation for why she publicly backed Ahmed during the original divorce from Safiya, which is something many of her followers had questioned at the time.

Safeera said the situation was more complicated than it appeared. According to her, Safiya used their child as leverage during the divorce proceedings, repeatedly telling Ahmed he would never get to see his child. “The situation became extremely destabilising,” Safeera said, implying that her support for Ahmed at the time was partly a response to what she describes as an emotionally coercive dynamic around the child.
The Pink Padlock

Safeera posted an image of a pink padlock she said was found in Ahmed’s closet, alleging that Safiya had placed it there. The post was pointed, referencing the three-time divorce pronouncement, called saki uku, that Ahmed had reportedly made. “Shey this looks very familiar? This was what chased your favourite as her last divorce, three times in gaps of months,” she wrote.

The Heavier Allegations
Safeera made further claims that are hard to verify, but they reveal clear emotional pain and suspicion.

She alleged that Ahmed’s father had warned the family that Safiya’s relatives had buried cows and rams in what she described as a spiritual attempt to harm the husband and take over his property. She also alleged that Safiya had made a vow that she would never conceive and would remain childless, and also accused Safiya of faking a pregnancy at some point.

She further accused Safiya’s family of using bloggers to control the narrative around the situation. “They can use bloggers to push narratives, make posts, and continuously target me,” she said. “Ever since he met her, I’ve never seen him the same.”

Where Things Stand
What Safeera’s account makes clear; regardless of which parts of her story are verifiable is that the situation she entered was more turbulent and more painful than the version the public saw. She says she protected people who did not protect her back. She says she is speaking now because silence stopped serving her.
Whether the full truth of what happened between all three people ever becomes clear publicly is uncertain. What is certain is that Safeera has decided she is no longer willing to let only one version of it circulate.
