However, the mood changed dramatically when she revealed the identity of the child’s father: Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha.

Nigerian singer Portable also joined the conversation. In a video circulating online, he questioned the timeline of the relationship and expressed disbelief over the announcement.
“At what point did Baba Ijesha come back from prison that you now have a child for him?” Portable asked. “Were you seeing him in prison, or are you trying to give him another man’s child?”

Despite mixed reactions and skepticism from some social media users, a video of Luminee’s surprise baby shower has emerged online.
Mercy Aigbe and Eniola Ajao, two well-known Nollywood actresses, were among those who attended the glamorous celebration.
A video from the event captured the emotional moment Luminee burst into tears after the organisers surprised her with a baby shower. Mercy Aigbe and the other guests immediately consoled and celebrated her as she struggled to contain her emotions.

Annie Idibia
Annie Macaulay also faced backlash after she congratulated Ceoluminee on the birth of her baby with three heart emojis.
Many social media users criticized Annie for her comment, prompting her to respond and explain that she was unaware of the controversy surrounding Ceoluminee’s relationship with Baba Ijesha.
In the comment section, Annie expressed her confusion and asked people to explain why they were attacking her.
She wrote:
“What’s going on? Please guys, I do not understand. The lady made a beautiful dress for me a few months ago. I honestly do not know what’s going on.
I saw her post on my timeline about having a baby and I dropped a heart emoji to congratulate her. Am I missing something? What did I do wrong?
Why am I receiving so many insults? I honestly do not know anything about her personal life. I only know her because she made the beautiful dress I wore to AFRIMA.
Please, can someone enlighten me? I truly do not know what is going on.”
The reactions highlighted the deep divisions among Nigerians regarding the issue. Many people argued that Ceoluminee’s decision was difficult to understand because of the nature of the offense for which Baba Ijesha was convicted. Others maintained that while the actor had served his prison sentence, the public had every right to question the relationship because the case involved a minor.
The Backstory
Ceoluminee built a successful career as a fashion designer and earned admiration from many Nigerians for her creativity and craftsmanship.
Baba Ijesha, a Nollywood actor, became the center of a major controversy in 2021 after comedian Princess publicly accused him of attempting to sexually abuse a girl under her care.
According to Princess, Baba Ijesha pleaded with her not to expose him and blamed his actions on the devil. Princess, who broke down in tears while discussing the matter, said she felt betrayed because she had supported him in the past.
