Who is Chioma Nneoma Ochibili?
Chike’s fans are worried and asking a lot of questions after the singer alleged he was duped of $20,000 by a woman he identified as Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, who was reportedly the fourth runner-up at Miss Nigeria USA 2016.
The singer took to social media to share his frustration, hinting that he had entered into a business arrangement with Chioma that did not end well. 
In one of the posts he made on X(formerly Twitter), Chike tweeted that he has $50,000 currently tied up, including $20,000 of his personal funds he claims he may never recover.
“$50,000 in the air. $20,000 of my hard earned money I didn’t see either. How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped,” he wrote, adding jokingly, “Even me I dey laugh myself.”
While the singer did not reveal the exact nature of the business deal between them, his posts suggest that the situation has been deeply disappointing for him.
Shortly after Chike’s posts began trending, he followed up with a screen recording of an Instagram story from one of Chioma’s old friends.
In the now deleted post, the woman, who described herself as Chioma’s best friend for over 10 years, alleged that she had also been scammed in the past. According to her, several people within their circle had warned others about similar experiences.
She wrote that despite the warnings, some people, herself included, still chose to give Chioma the benefit of the doubt only to end up regretting it.
The said friend also alleged that Chioma has a history of manipulating people close to her, saying she could appear very kind and charming before eventually betraying their trust.
The Irony People Are Talking About
One detail that has caught many people’s attention online is the claim that Chioma had always admired Chike for years.
According to her ex friend, she had been crushing on the singer for about eight years before their paths eventually crossed.
This twist has left many fans of Chike surprised, with some joking that the situation feels almost too dramatic to be real.
Despite the situation, Chike appeared to take a slightly humorous tone in one of his posts, “See, don’t let her do it to you. That’s all… Chioma is an expert at this at this point and I admit to being rookie.”
For now, the singer has not provided further details about the business deal or whether he intends to pursue legal action. Chioma has not publicly responded to the allegations as of the time of writing.
