Earlier this week, the death of Jessica Elena, a lady who died after her second BBL, trended on the internet, with her friends blaming and tagging Cynosure Hospital, alleging their negligence caused her death.
The hospital is now speaking through a letter from their law firm, Gee Law Firm. They are saying that such accusations are an attempt to defame their establishment, and they are not responsible for her death, claiming that she was referred to their clinic from another hospital. They then referred her to another facility, a multi-specialist tertiary healthcare facility in Mushin, and thereafter she went to an unknown clinic where she passed away.

Read an excerpt from their statement below:
“The publications appear to form part of a deliberate campaign of calumny orchestrated by some faceless characters with the aim of damaging the reputation of our Client. Our Client has been one of the frontline clinics rendering services to clients of diverse background and in the process established a reputation for excellence.
The goodwill meticulously built over the years has never suffered any question relating to competence, care and respect for medical rights of the Clients.
For the avoidance of doubt, Ms. Jessica Elena was referred from CYNOSURE AESTHETIC PLASTIC SURGERY CLINICS on the 19th February, 2026 to a Multi-specialist Tertiary Healthcare facility in Mushin, Lagos for further specialist continuity of care and medical management. She was later taken away to an unknown medical facility where she unfortunately passed away.
Our Client does not have anything to do with the photographs purportedly ascribed to the deceased now being circulated on the social media and the photographs did not emanate from our Client.”
The question then is: what is the name of the unknown medical facility she was taken to? Perhaps the only people with answers are her family and friends.
