Season 4 of Wura is set to raise the stakes and will be coming to your screens on March 30, 2026. Every weekday on Africa Magic Showcase by 8 pm (WAT) and Africa Magic Family by 8:30 pm (WAT), get ready for the unending thrill.

More than ever, it’s darker and more emotionally layered as the season zooms into the depths of your favourite characters.

At a press chat, Head Writer and Editor Musa Jeffery mentioned the show is an adaptation of South African Telenovela, ‘The River’ which has six seasons. He explained that audience demand largely influenced the decision to return for a fourth season.

Beyond that, Season 4 serves as an opportunity to give a deeper sense of catharsis. It is expanding on storylines that may not have been fully explored in previous seasons.

Scarlet Gomez, who plays Wura, revealed that viewers should expect a more complex version of Wura; one who is not only “more vile and dangerous,” but also more humane. How she’s going to do that is for you to find out.

However, in her defense, she explains that circumstances drive this shift. Her family turns against her, and she watches almost everything she has worked for slip away as a consequence of her past actions.

The looming threat to her business empire pushes her further into dangerous territory, while also exposing a more vulnerable side to her character. Perhaps, Wura will give us something to make us root for her.

In addition to its returning cast, the new season will introduce fresh talent into the mix. Nanan Ikeji joins the series as a new character, Anjola, while Korede Soyinka, Mara Madi and Kingsley Nwankpa take on the roles of Olumide Kuti, Eve Adeleke, and Razak, respectively. We look forward to these new faces keeping up the energy, tension, and intrigue in the storyline.

A significant character shift is also on the horizon for Iyabo Kuti, whose role will evolve into that of a freedom fighter challenging injustice. This transformation positions her as a potential moral counterforce to Wura’s increasingly dangerous path.

With increased conflict, deeper emotional stakes, and new faces, Season 4 of Wura appears poised to deliver a gripping continuation, one that explores not just the cost of power, but the fragile humanity beneath it.
