Former Big Brother Naija star Natcha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, was allegedly arrested by the Nigeria Police Force.
Nigerian movie producer and Best of Nollywood CEO Seun Oloketuyi, shared the information on Instagram. In his post, he claimed that Tacha had received three different invitations from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) between May and August 2026 but did not honour any of them.
He further stated that it was at her residence in Ajah, Lagos, the arrest took place.
“Tacha has been arrested today by NPF. Arrested early this morning after she was sent 3 invitations between May and August by the NPF – NCCC, but she decided not to honour the IVs. She was picked up at her Ajah residence early this morning,” Oloketuyi wrote.

Why Tacha Was Arrested
Although the reason for the arrest has not been officially stated, some social media posts have linked the arrest to a video Tacha posted on X in March.
In the video, she accused a man, @tobyasky of child trafficking and rape. The video which was accompanied with the caption “Be wary of this rapist” followed a back and forth between @tobyasky and Tacha.
Unverified claims circulating online suggest police wanted her to produce evidence or victims related to the accusation. However, the reported arrest remains unconfirmed by the NPF or Tacha’s manager.
When contacted by P.M. News on Monday morning, Tacha’s manager stated he could neither confirm nor deny the development, adding that he had been unable to reach her.
The reactions to this development has been mixed but have been largely critical of her. A significant portion of the reactions frame the alleged arrest as justice.
