Nigerian singer Spyro has shared his thoughts on leaving money behind for children after death. He said he does not belong to the school of thought that encourages parents to leave wealth for their children.
Spyro speaks on leaving money for children
Spyro said:
“I’m not part of the school of thought of leave money down for children. At the end of the day, after I’m gone, I don’t know what you are going to do with the money. Once you fall off grace and you don’t have money, you are finished.” 
He explained that everything physical has a spiritual part to it. He added that he has spent huge amounts of money on some of his songs without seeing the expected results from their streams.
“To everything physical you see, there is a spiritual part to it. There are songs I have spent a hundred million on and when you go check the streams, you will just be like, what’s going on?”
Spyro also revealed the amount he has spent on a music video, saying:
“The most I have spent on a music video, I think that should be about 50 million.”
Spyro speaks about explicit content in music videos
The singer also criticised the amount of explicit content in some music videos. He said many artists would not be proud to let their children watch some of their videos.
“A lot of us as artists are not even proud to have our children watch our music videos because it’s pornography literally.”

‘I’m a Jesus boy, but I don’t do gospel music’
Spyro also explained his relationship with Christianity and his music. He made it clear that although he describes himself as a Jesus boy, he does not consider himself a gospel musician. He continued
“Na me be Jesus boy, my music is not necessarily Jesus music. I’m a Jesus boy because I love God I serve God but I don’t do gospel music.”
The singer also mentioned Wizkid as one of the artistes who influences his music. He explained that he learns from different artistes musically.
“Wizkid influences my music. I learn from music musically because for me I can trace my success back to where I got to the end of myself.”
Spyro said he had tried different things, including relying on his talent, but none of them worked as he expected. He explained that he eventually returned to God and asked for help, especially for the sake of his mother.
“I had tried everything. I had tried talent, I had tried everything I could but everything failed. Then I went back to God that there is nothing I can do now, even if you don’t help me for myself at least help me for my mum.”
