Nigerian singer Chidinma Ekile has revealed that she tried to leave Nigeria for good before she moved from secular music to gospel. She made the revelation at a recent Eezee Conceptz event.

She said she travelled abroad and began processing her documents so she would not have to return, but her plans failed. Chidinma says she ran away from Nigeria and began processing her papers because her life had stalled

“Like my life was just at a standstill. I’ll tell you for a fact, I travelled as I ran away from Nigeria. In fact, I was processing my papers not to come back to Nigeria. For some reason, it didn’t work,” she said.

“Funny enough, he was the only one who was calling me from Nigeria. We kept talking, and he kept encouraging me, and I just found the strength to come back to Nigeria,” she said.
