American rapper Cardi B has fuelled speculation about her relationship with Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
The Grammy-winning artiste addressed the growing rumours during an interview with Vogue Arabia. She appeared on the magazine’s latest cover and discussed fashion, motherhood and her personal life.
Cardi and Okoye have recently been spotted together on several occasions. Their public appearances have sparked widespread speculation about a possible romance. 
However, neither celebrity has officially confirmed that they are dating.
Cardi B on Maduka Okoye
Cardi B spoke warmly about Okoye when asked about their relationship during the interview. The rapper described the Nigerian footballer as “really sweet” and “very kind”.
She also explained that Okoye’s personality differs from the impression he gives online.
“When you see him on social media, he looks very strict, stern, but he is very kind,” she said.
When asked whether fans could expect to see more of them together, Cardi gave a suggestive response.
“I hope so,” she said.
Her response has further intensified speculation about the pair’s relationship. Cardi’s comments came during a wider conversation about her career, fashion and life as a mother.
Maduka Okoye Meeting Cardi B
Okoye, 27, plays as a goalkeeper for Italian Serie A club Udinese Calcio and has represented Nigeria at international level. The footballer first attracted attention alongside Cardi during Paris Fashion Week in July.
The pair were spotted together at Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture show. Okoye was seen helping Cardi settle into her seat before sitting beside her during the event.
They were later spotted at The St. Regis Venice with friends. Although there was no obvious public display of affection, the pair appeared comfortable around each other. Their repeated appearances together have consequently kept romance rumours alive.

What Cardi B Said About Their Future
Cardi’s latest comments have added another layer to the growing speculation. Her response suggests she would welcome more opportunities to spend time with Okoye. The rapper also shared a more playful remark about the footballer in her response.
“He was really sweet, when you see him on social media, he looks very strict, stern,but he is very kind, I hope so…to be honest, one more baby is not a crime, my p$$y want him, I love him to rraah me, hahaha, y’all tripping”
Despite the playful statement, Cardi and Okoye have not publicly defined their relationship. And for now, fans will have to wait and see whether the pair make more appearances together.
