Ayra Starr’s sister, Salt, and actress Ryonne have shared their views on relationships, friendship and dating during an episode of the Wahala Podcast.
The host asked the guests whether a woman should ask a man out, and both Salt and Ryonne agreed that a woman can make the first move.
Ryonne said, “if they should, they can”, while Salt said, “women you can do whatever you want, you are a woman”.
Ryonne disagrees with the idea that men always mistreat women who approach them
The host argued that men might treat women badly when the women ask them out. However, Ryonne disagreed with the idea, saying that not every man treats a woman badly because she approached him first.
The podcast host also shared her opinion that when a man sees a woman he likes, he will approach her. According to her, if a man does not approach a woman, it could mean that she does not fit what he wants.

However, Salt offered another perspective. She explained that some men might feel scared or intimidated when they want to approach a woman.

Salt explains why some men may feel intimidated by women
The host maintained that men are chasers and should not feel intimidated, but Salt disagreed and shared an example from her own experience.
Salt explained that she sometimes looks rude or mean when she goes out, even though she considers herself a sweet person. She said some men might look at her and assume that she would curse them out if they approached her.
Ryonne agreed with part of the woman’s argument, saying that some men might take advantage of a woman simply because she asked them out first.
Salt responded that a woman who chooses to approach a man simply has to pray that she does not meet a man who will take advantage of the situation.

Ryonne opens up about learning to set boundaries
The conversation later moved to friendship, where Salt explained that she has both surface-level friendships and close friendships with people in her inner circle.
Ryonne, on the other hand, opened up about what she has been learning about setting boundaries.
She explained that she is learning that it is okay to say no and that her “No” should remain “No” without having to explain herself.
Ryonne admitted that setting boundaries has been difficult for her because she has always been a people pleaser. She said she often tries to make sure that everyone around her feels fine, even when doing so means ignoring her own needs.
However, she said she is now learning to say no and put her own needs into consideration.
Salt and Ryonne share their views on dating richer men
The host also asked Salt if she could date a man who she is richer than. Salt said she would control the man because she is self-aware and knows that she has more money than him.
Ryonne gave a different response. She said she might shrink herself a little and would not try to control the man.
However, both women said they could not date a man who was significantly less wealthy than them. They also noted that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to relationships.
