Nigerian-American artist Shaboozey whose given name is Collins Obinna Chibueze also won an award. He won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his song ‘Amen’ with Jelly Roll.
During his acceptance speech, Shaboozey spoke about immigrants and said they helped build the United States. His win shows that artists with African roots are making an impact in different music genres, even country music.
Tyler The Creator Won Best Album Cover
At the 2026 Grammy Awards, Tyler, the Creator (Tyler Okonma) took home the inaugural trophy for Best Album Cover for his work as the art director of ‘Chromakopia’.
Cynthia Erivo Won Best Pop Duo
