Whoever said true love does not exist clearly hasn’t met the latest Congolese couple in town.
After more than two decades of love and partnership, Congolese music legend Antoine Christophe Mumba, known professionally as Koffi Olomide, has tied the knot with his long-time partner and singer Candy Nkunku, popularly known as Cindy Le Coeur.

The civil wedding was held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Kinshasa, DR Congo.
Koffi, 69, and Cindy, 43, have shared both a professional and romantic journey that dates back over 20 years. Cindy joined Olomide’s music band, Quartier Latin International, in 2007 after meeting him at N’djili Studio in Gombe. What started as a professional relationship blossomed into a love story that has now been sealed with marriage vows.

Olomide known as the “King of Ndombolo” shared clips from the ceremony on Instagram. The couple arrived at the private venue in a sleek Mercedes S-Class, exuding elegance and class.
In the heart-melting video, Olomide walked down the aisle confidently, hand in hand with his daughter, Minou Olomide, while Cindy followed after, both glowing with happiness.

The civil ceremony was intimate and deeply emotional and couple exchanged vows before a Congolese state official and their chosen witnesses. Laughter filled the room when Olomide slipped the ring onto Cindy’s finger and mumbled a few playful words in French.
Sharing the joyous news online, Olomide captioned his post, “May our happiness be yours.”
After 20 years together, this feels less like a wedding surprise and more like destiny finally saying, “It’s time.”
