Ola of Lagos, Olayinka Akinwande, a top Nigerian luxury lifestyle influencer, car enthusiast and entrepreneur, has explained an ideal way he motivates himself to avoid becoming lazy and make more money.
In an interview on the KK Show, he said one of his ways to stay motivated to make money and keep making money is to avoid sleeping in his own house. He believes that resting too much and living in his own house would not give him enough pressure to make as much money as he should.
He Claims N50m Rent Gives Him More Pressure to Hustle
Ola of Lagos explained that when he wants to make more money, he prefers to rent an apartment and it costs N50 million yearly. He believes that remembering the huge amount he has to pay at the end of the year would push him to double his hustle instead of becoming too relaxed.

He said;
“That’s why I don’t sleep in my house, I’ll relax. Rent a house, pay rent when year ends make you know say you wan pay N50 million. So that you go know say you have to work if you go dey your house wey you buy you go dey relax.”
He continued by saying
“It’s fine to stay in your own house o, that is my own opinion. Don’t let that judge your own life o. It’s just like coming on the internet saying if you make your first money don’t buy a house buy car. No, it depends on your reality.”
Ola of Lagos Advises People to Follow What Works for Them
He further explained that people have different realities and should make financial decisions based on what works for them. He said in Pidgin:
“Some people now, na the car wey dem go buy go buy them houses like one of mentor online. He said his first car bought him all his houses”.
