Hilda Baci has replied to singer Seyi Vibez legally after her lawyers filed a lawsuit against him over two defamatory and malicious posts that publicly targeted her on X.
On August 14, 2026, the singer, whose full name is Afolabi Oluwaseyi Balogun, posted two messages that generated significant attention online.
In the first post, he wrote: “Na Hilda Baci BBL all una catalogue money dey go All of una Dey craze and una mama.” He later followed up with a second post about Hilda’s food.
Seyi Vibez Makes Claims About Hilda Baci
Seyi Vibez accused the Guinness World Record holder by linking her cuisine to an alleged ailment in public.
The singer made the comments amid an industry dispute involving his former music label boss, Dapper.
On August 15, 2026, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, a renowned Lagos law firm, submitted a formal demand letter to Seyi Vibez on behalf of its client, Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci.
The letter cited defamation, malicious content and potential violations of Nigeria’s Cybercrime Act.

Dapper Music Dispute Draws Hilda Baci Into Controversy
The music label’s dispute gained traction after former and current artists publicly questioned Dapper Music’s business structures and associated catalogue earnings.
Earlier replies linked Baci to the controversy because of reports that she and Dapper are dating.
Seyi Vibez further claimed that Dapper’s catalogue money funded Baci’s alleged BBL, a claim that sparked outrage across Nigerian entertainment circles online.
The disagreement stemmed from Seyi Vibez’s growing feud with music executive Dapper over royalties, catalogues and alleged financial accountability concerns.

Hilda Baci’s Lawyers Demand Removal of Posts
Baci’s lawyers at Olaniwun Ajayi LP have demanded the immediate removal of Seyi Vibez’s disputed posts.
According to the letter, her legal team highlighted the millions of views that the posts received and the alleged online harassment that followed.
The lawyers also demanded immediate removal of the posts, public apologies on Seyi Vibez’s social media accounts and a written undertaking within three days.
They further advised Seyi Vibez against publishing similar claims in the future, describing the tweets as defamatory allegations that could damage Baci’s reputation.
