Victor Osimhen, Africa’s top striker and Galatasaray forward, has replied to suggestions that he could join Premier League champions Arsenal this summer.
Mikel Arteta and Arsenal’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, are keen to choose quality over numbers after winning the Premier League and reaching the Champions League final last season.
Arteta and Berta are still hoping to add some attacking talent ahead of the new season, and Galatasaray’s Osimhen has attracted strong interest.
Osimhen responds to Arsenal transfer rumours
Arsenal have already signed Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes this summer, while they have also converted Piero Hincapie’s loan move from Bayer Leverkusen into a permanent contract.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Arsenal have held conversations about acquiring Osimhen this summer, and the club has discussed the striker’s availability.
Arsenal have discussed a deal for the Nigeria international, but the Gunners have not received an ‘offer’ for the player, who ranks below Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez on their shortlist.
After scoring twice in a home draw against Corum FK over the weekend, Osimhen stated:
“I will take care of my business”, in response to the latest speculation about his future.

He told journalists in Turkey, “There are always rumours in transfer seasons. I will take care of my business. I am focused on my job, then we will see and think further.”
According to a report by 343 Digital, Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has stated that Osimhen will not leave the club this summer at whatever price.
Ozbek stated that he will not say ‘yes’ to any transaction that may harm or profit Galatasaray.
“What I said about Baris Alper Yilmaz applies much more strongly to Osimhen. No matter how great the money is, I will not sell Osimhen.”
