The second daughter of Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Meraiah Ekeinde, has announced her engagement to her partner.
The fashion entrepreneur shared the news with her followers on Instagram, posting a video from the engagement ceremony.
Meraiah is one of four children born to Omotola and her husband, Matthew Ekeinde, a pilot. 
The actress has regularly offered fans glimpses into her family life over the years, including moments with her children.
Speaking on The Morayo Show in February, Omotola advised people against marrying into families that do not accept them.

The veteran actress shared her thoughts on marrying into families that disapprove of a relationship and urged couples to approach such situations with patience and wisdom.

She advised partners to make sincere efforts to win over resistant relatives, noting that some families may initially act based on bias.
“I would advise that if the families of the spouse does not like you try your best to make sure they do,” she said.
She noted that marriage is a lifetime journey and an institution that couples will face challenges in. She also questioned whether couples would want to start their marriage with people who already oppose their union.
However, she added a word of caution: “It’s not worth it.
Marriage in itself is already an institution where you are going to face a lot, it’s a lifetime journey. Why would you want to start with people who don’t like you? If that’s the life you want then good luck, if not run.”
The renowned actress argued that while couples can make genuine efforts to win over disapproving in-laws, those efforts may not always succeed.
According to Omotola, some families may soften their stance over time, but such changes can often prove unstable.
