Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed to the public for financial support as she battles a medical condition that has kept her in the hospital for the past three weeks.
The actress, who has entertained audiences for decades with memorable roles in films and television series, revealed that her health has deteriorated. She revealed that she urgently requires N30 million for three life-saving surgeries and pleaded with fans, colleagues, and well-wishers not to leave her to fight alone.
In an Instagram video posted on Thursday, the 62-year-old actress said she could no longer keep her condition private because the medical bills had become too high. 
Addressing her fans, family, and supporters, Nwosu stated that she had reached a point where she needed assistance.
“My people, my fans and my family. I know that you have not seen me in circulation for some time. I have been hospitalised for three weeks.
“Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me and I know that God will always see me through, but I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die.”

The actress also asked anyone willing to support her to contact her management team through the details provided.
She said she has been living with severe pain and still has three surgeries ahead of her.
“I am going through a lot, as in pains. I have like three surgeries to go through. Please, don’t let me die. If there is anything you want to do for me, please contact my management. They would be there for you. God bless you.”
In the caption accompanying the video, Nwosu admitted that making the public appeal was one of the hardest things she had ever done but said she had no other choice.
“My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries.
“Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you and may you and yours never experience this affliction. Please contact my legal representative/management for more details.
“Total amount needed for all surgeries is: N30,000,000.”
Her appeal has since drawn sympathy from fans and colleagues, many of whom have taken to social media to offer prayers and call for support to help the veteran actress raise the funds for her treatment.
