Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly called out her ex-husband, Frederick Leonard, for failing to appear in court for their divorce proceedings.
Ovire shared a video of Leonard and a married woman whom she said her husband is having an affair with. In the post, she wrote;
” Married women – oh, shameless lot. Please don’t avoid coming to customary court on June 23 for the second time.”
She continued, “You said you wanted a divorce, yet you didn’t show up when you were served. Please don’t avoid the Customary Court for the second time on 23 June because I’m coming with receipts. Let’s finalise this divorce so that both of you can finally be together.”
According to Ovire, Leonard, who often describes himself as a traditional Igbo man, had an affair with a married Igbo woman who has four children.
The actress also referred to a cryptic post she shared in February 2026. She recounted how a woman uncovered her husband’s secret affair with a married woman after he repeatedly denied having a relationship with her.

Ovire claimed that her husband constantly praised the married woman in public while dismissing her in private to avoid raising suspicion. She also wrote that the two frequently met in apartments and hotels and maintained the relationship throughout their marriage.
According to her, the woman had attended their wedding, while Leonard insisted they were only friends.
When Ovire first shared the cryptic post, many Nigerians speculated that she was referring to herself and Leonard. She has now confirmed that the post was indeed about their marriage.
The actress ended by questioning the actions of a husband who publicly condemns women involved with married men while allegedly cheating on his wife with a married woman.
